Mission
Statement of the Myanmar Association Inc.
We the
staff members of UN agencies and organizations in New York
have gathered together this day the 13th of November 1995 to
form the Myanmar Association Inc. with the following aims and
objectives:
1. To
promote unity among Myanmar staff members and the Myanmar
community in New York.
2. To
promote Myanmar national identity, culture and language.
3. To
promote harmony and understanding among different national
races, staff members from other countries.
4. To
look after the welfare needs of its members, especially how to
adapt and survive in a new environment.
5. To
help Myanmar staff members by providing useful advice and
assistance when required.
6. To
promote friendship among the families of Myanmar staff
members.
7. To
promote friendship among Myanmar staff members serving in UN
agencies and organizations in other parts of the world.
